What is Open Gym?
Open Gym is a great opportunity for our members to come in and train on their own individual programs, make up a training that they missed earlier in the week or to practice skills and techniques that they wish to improve upon.
There is no rigid class format for Open Gym, and although a Coach is present, those that attend Open Gym will need some degree of autonomy and plan in advance to best utilize their time.
Spots are limited for Open Gym and must be reserved in advance. Before starting Open Gym, each member is required to check in with the coach and inform them of their training plan for the session.
Open Gym is suitable for ALL levels.
What is Personal Programming?
CrossFit Tel Aviv offers to all of our members the opportunity to work with any of our coaches in a more one-on-one fashion with a program specific to your needs and goals! The personalized program is suitable to members who want a more advanced/competitive program, a member with a specific goal in mind (For example: running a marathon, strength training, sport specific training, etc.)
The 1 month programs start at ₪250 for current CrossFit Tel Aviv members in good standing.
Included in this package:
- 1 full month of programming
- Personal Training session with the coach of your choosing to explain the program, movements, check progress, etc.
- Unlimited, guaranteed Open Gym (this means you do not need to reserve on MindBody.
All other Open Gym rules still apply:
You will still enjoy all of the other great benefits membership at CrossFit Tel Aviv provides: Olympic Weightlifting, Yoga, Mobility, Conditioning, Intermediate Group, Competitive Group, Community events, etc.
What is Intermediate Class?
Our CrossFit Tel Aviv Intermediate class is suitable for our members that have been training with us for at least 6 months.
This is NOT a “competitive” group or an “advanced” group (our competitive athletes have their own training for that purpose). Instead, Intermediate classes better address the needs of our athletes who after 6 months have improved their basic mobility, strength and CrossFit relevant skills.
Once a solid foundation has been built, we are able to vary the training in the Intermediate class even more than we can in our all Level “CrossFit” classes. For example, strength training will no longer be based on a linear progression. Olympic Weightlifting and more advanced Gymnastics movements will be drilled and more liberally included in Conditioning.
If you have been training at CrossFit Tel Aviv for 6 months please consult with a coach in order to determine if you should be training in the Intermediate classes.
What is the Monthly CrossFit Program?
Our general “CrossFit” class programming changes every month, or more specifically, ever cycle. The emphasis on different techniques, movements and exercises as determined by the Head coach will change based on what we set out as our gym-wide goals each cycle. The current cycle can be viewed on our Workout of the Day page.
What is the Monthly Mobility Warm Up?
Just as our “CrossFit” class programming changes every cycle in order to better accomplish the gym-wide goals, so does our Monthly Mobility Warm Up.
The warm up is specific to the techniques, movements and exercises that we are trying to improve upon in the current cycle.
The Mobility Warm up is expected to be completed by our members on their own, upon arrival to training, preferably a few minutes before class begins!
Why CrossFit Tel Aviv and not a “regular” gym?
CrossFit is a highly effective training system that will get you into the best shape of your life and accomplish your fitness goals. There are a few factors that makes CrossFit Tel Aviv more effective at accomplishing this over a “regular” gym:
- Programming: CrossFit Tel Aviv members receive a program designed by our Head Coach. You will know exactly what to do on any given day when you step into our doors. This is included in your membership! In a “regular” gym, there is nobody there to tell you what, how or why to exercise.
- Coaches: Our highly professional coaches are the best assembled team in the country! Decades of experience, tons of certifications and degrees and the results to back it all up!
- Community: In order to become and stay fit and healthy you need to make health and fitness a part of your lifestyle. These need to be integral parts of your daily life. This is not easy! However, training with a community that is like-minded, shares similar goals, cheers you on and supports you every step of the way makes it possible to accomplish goals you never thought were possible!
- Better quality of life: It is not uncommon for a veteran CrossFitter to talk about the positive changes in their life that they experienced once they began training. When you start to set and accomplish goals in the gym, this transfers into life outside the gym. You will find that you have new found confidence, energy and the will to face and overcome challenges in your personal and professional lives. A sound body equals a sound mind. It is hard to put a value on this until you experience it, but it is worth experiencing!
How do I Sign up for Classes?
Reserving your spot for one of our training sessions is very simple!
- First, create an account on mindbody.com.
- Second, download the MindBody app for your smart phone (Mindbody Connect).
You are now able to book your classes from the app, from the Mindbody website, or directly from our website!

You will receive an email if you make it into the class.
How do I start at CrossFit Tel Aviv?
Please read our “Getting Started” here.
What is the “Elements” Course?
Our Elements course is designed for beginners to CrossFit.
The course will introduce you to some of the basic movements found in CrossFit as well as explain the current training cycle at CrossFit Tel Aviv.
Of course this is a great opportunity for all new potential members to CrossFit Tel Aviv to get to know our Coaches, our culture and our community.
By the time the Elemens course is completed, in addition to having a better understanding of basic CrossFit movements, you will have had the opportunity to test out CrossFit Tel Aviv and see if it is for you before you commit to a longer term membership
What is the WOD on Saturday?
Our Saturday “CrossFit” classes are run Open Gym style.
This means that there will be a suggested WOD written on the board for you to complete, or you may also use this time to make up a training you may have missed earlier in the week and/or work on a skill or technique.
A Coach is present to assist you and guide you as needed.
The LAST Saturday of every month is reserved as a special day for the CrossFit Tel Aviv community to gather together for our Monthly Throwdown. The Monthly Throwdown is a test of all the hard work you have put in over the preceding weeks. The Throwdown is built for all levels! Everyone is encouraged to come and take part!
Do you have Air Conditioning and Heating?
Yes. Both our Atarim and Dizengoff locations have air conditioning and heating. However, Our Atarim location overlooks Gordon beach and is not very well protected from the elements because of our proximity to the beach.
Do You Have Showers?
Yes. Both our Atarim and Dizengoff locations have showers.
What is your “Weight Dropping” Policy?
Having two great locations right in the center of Tel Aviv means that we need to be mindful of our neighbours. In Atarim, dropping of weights is allowed only during the following days and hours: Sunday-Thursday: 1800-2100, Friday: 1000-1600 and Saturday: 1300-1900. Our Dizengoff location is located in a shared commercial and residential area, therefore we do not allow dropping weights at any time.
Thank you for respecting this policy and for respecting our neighbours!
Where are you located?
Atarim:
Our Atarim location is located in a complex called “Kikar Atarim”. The complex can be difficult to navigate. The best way to locate us is to find the Herod’s Hotel swimming pool (right above Gordon Beach). We are located diagonally across from the pool.
Dizengoff:
Our Dizengoff location is located right next to Kikar Dizengoff (Reines 1). We are 1 floor below street level. The entrance to the facility is to the right of Cafe Nahat.
Check out the maps on our contact page.
How much does it cost? / What is included in a CrossFit Tel Aviv Membership?
Check out our Memberships page.
Why don’t you offer a “Free” Trial?
CrossFit as a training system has been around for over 15 years. There is a plethora of free material on the internet where you can watch videos and read articles in order to learn more about CrossFit. (crossfit.com is a great place to start!).
Additionally, if you are interested in finding out if the CrossFit Tel Aviv community and culture is right for you, this can not be accomplished in just one training session.
We offer a 4 class Elements course which is designed for you to get to know our coaching staff and get better acquainted with the CrossFit Tel Aviv community and culture. You can experience all of this before you commit to a long term membership.
Furthermore, you are always welcome to schedule a time to come in an observe a training session for free and see our facility. However, to allow untrained individuals into our regular group sessions can be quite disturbing to our paying members. We appreciate your understanding of this policy.

I want to get in shape before I start CrossFit
CrossFit is designed to get you into shape!
The nature of CrossFit is that it is scaleable and adaptable to people of all different fitness levels.
The first few months of your CrossFit journey at CrossFit Tel Aviv is designed to build you up properly and intelligently before you ramp up the intensity on your trainings.
It is a common mistake to try and get into “shape” before you commit to CrossFit.
Our coaches are professional and knowledgable and will help you each step of the way!
Is CrossFit suitable for Women?
Yes! 60% of self described CrossFitters are women!
CrossFit offers great benefits to all people, but especially Women! Lifting weights is proven to increase bone density, which is important in preventing osteoporosis.
CrossFit is focused on developing functional movements which means you are training to make everyday activities easier which in turns leads to great independence and self confidence.
If you are still unsure, we suggest you try our Elements course and see how you feel, mentally and physically. If you enjoy it, we would be happy to have you join our community!
I have a pre-existing injury or health condition. Can I train with you?
We are able to accommodate a huge range of pre-existing injuries or health conditions.
